Nicole L Olson Dance Workshop

Saturday, February 24 | 4–4:45 p.m.

Marshall Way Roundabout

Local dancer and choreographer Nicole L Olson’s performance will offer the patrons of Canal Convergence an exciting workshop prior to her twilight performance on the first Saturday of the event. This project-based workshop focuses on the creation of live, site-specific choreography and performance works.

Site-specific dance/performance is created in response to a particular location and is inspired by its architecture or design, its history, its current use, and the natural environment. During the workshop, Olson will lead a quick warm-up, then guide you through the process of creating a concept and producing movement and phrases for the beginning of your own site-specific piece.
