The Future Taste of Water with ASU
What will our water taste like in the future? In this interactive exhibit, you will use your senses to imagine—and shape—the future of our drinking water.
Through a partnership with the city of Scottsdale Solid Waste Services, artist Jon Arvizu is leading a collaborative painting effort to design containers that showcase our community. Debuting at Canal Convergence, these containers will be placed throughout Old Town Scottsdale, but this is your chance to see them before they are out in the community. Free workshops to help with the collaborative painting of the containers are available to Canal Convergence attendees on Saturdays and Sundays with RSVP.
Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, illustrator, designer, and printmaker Jon Arvizu is all about seeing a concept from start to finish. His portfolio includes commercial work for companies that include Netflix, Frito-Lay, and Oregano’s Pizza Bistro. Arvizu is increasingly passionate about supporting art and culture in the local community and continuing to grow as an artist working in Arizona. Jon and Jenn Arvizu run HighJinks Apparel Co., a Gilbert-based apparel shop that sells everything Arizona: artfully designed graphic tees, hats, letterpress cards, silkscreen print editions, and more.
