Snag a seed bomb while drawing and painting desert botanicals on wood scraps during this free, collaborative workshop between Dig It Gardens and artist Lora Barnhiser. 

Biographies 

Originally from Ohio, Lora Barnhiser has lived in Phoenix for more than 10 years. She attended Bowling Green State University School of Art before moving to the desert. Her experience teaching art to students of all age ranges, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds helped shape her into the artist she is today. She currently teaches art to young artists in high school during the day. At night, Barnhiser turns into a studio owl, creating things from upcycled, earth-friendly materials (most often rescued wood scraps). Favorite media include watercolor and wood burning (pyrography). Lately, mural creation has entered her world. When not teaching, momming, or creating art, she can often be found outdoors. “I’ve never been one to spend much time in the salon but amongst the birds and trees instead,” she says.
