About the Event

Play like the artist Jean-Michael Basquiat! Workshop attendees will use multiple materials to create their own mixed media statement piece. This workshop will begin with a brief history of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Attendees will be encouraged to channel their own playful style to express something they are passionate about within their art piece. Prompts for playful expression will be provided for those who need a little extra help. 

Biography

The Walter Hive is an arts nonprofit located in south Scottsdale. Their goal is to provide arts and fabrication programs with the purpose of developing practical skills, increasing confidence, and promoting well-being. The Walter Hive provides monthly classes to partners, such as Cancer Support Community Arizona and the Girl Scouts of the USA, along with classes open to the community at large.
