About the Event
In this workshop you will create a fun plush doll with the guidance of Abby Aspen, a professional teaching artist with a specialty in fiber art. You will design your own pattern, cut and embellish your fabric, then stuff and sew your monster creation. This project is suitable for all ages but does require fine motor skills such as threading a sewing needle and making stitches, young participants or individuals who cannot perform these skills independently may want to attend this workshop with an adult who can assist them as needed. Materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to attend with their own scrap fabric, buttons, beads or other notions that they would enjoy incorporating into their monster doll- this project is an excellent opportunity to reuse scrap fabric and creatively incorporate other objects which can be sewn to doll.
