About the Event
S’edav Va’aki Museum
S’edav Va’aki Museum (formerly Pueblo Grande Museum) is located on an extraordinary archaeological site where visitors learn about the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People, known to archaeologists as the Hohokam. Visitors can walk along a 2/3-mile outdoor trail, exploring a prehistoric va’aki (platform mound), full-size replica houses, a ballcourt, and a demonstration garden. Indoors, enjoy four exhibit galleries, exploring archaeology and the awe-inspiring artifacts of the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People and highlighting contemporary Indigenous themes.
Join the S’edav Va’aki Museum at Canal Convergence, where you can create a fabulous canal fish or a silly snake and learn about the history of the archeological site.

Container Paintings
The Container Painting Project is back! In partnership with Scottsdale Solid Waste Management, artist Blaise Danio is leading a collaborative painting effort to design containers that showcase our community. Debuting at Canal Convergence, these containers will be placed throughout Scottsdale, but this is your chance to see them before they are out in the community. Free workshops to help with the collaborative painting of the containers are available to Canal Convergence attendees on Saturdays and Sundays with RSVP.
