Walter Productions

Fireflection

Phoenix, Arizona

On view Nov. 8–17

Reflection plays a crucial role in our daily lives—from the way light illuminates our world to the dynamics of heat and energy. Walter Productions explores this natural interplay of light, sound, and motion—facilitated by reflection—through this year’s fire-shooting flotilla, Fireflection. This installation features eight floating platforms supporting multiple mirrored geometric forms of different shapes and sizes. Flame heads hidden within each reflective shape light up the sky multiple times a night with dazzling fire performances set to music. As the LEDs in the platforms twinkle and flash, and blazing flames dance upon mirrored surfaces, they create a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns that highlight the variety and the beauty of reflections in the water and the mirrored surfaces.

In addition to creating a new, original art installation with nightly performances, Walter Productions has added a never-before-seen flame effect to this year’s shows.
