The EQUBE, one of Big Art’s latest installations, effortlessly illustrates the multitude of ways in which the volume, pace, and nature of sound can be reflected through light. Measuring 10 feet cubed, with nearly 10,000 LEDs enhanced by a reflective, mirrored acrylic exterior (a new addition for Canal Convergence), attendees flock to witness the radiant light and sound spectacle, drawn in by its allure. An interactive console, adorned with arcade-style buttons, offers the viewer control over colors, patterns, and intensity of light generated by The EQUBE, creating yet another unique reflection of the surrounding world.
